My Personal Gallery

I began learning traditional Chinese painting at a young age. This art form encompasses two main styles: expressive, which emphasizes impressionism, and realistic, which focuses on intricate details. As a child, I preferred the expressive style because I struggled to control the brush with precision. Over time, however, I developed a passion for the realistic style and dedicated myself to capturing its fine, elaborate details. The realistic style can be applied to both silk fans and rice paper; rice paper paintings are often mounted onto silk brocade.

I would love to introduce you to some of my paintings. A few remain unfinished, as I paused painting three years ago when I left for the U.S. to pursue further education. Despite their differences, these works share a common theme: conveying auspicious and propitious meanings. For example, flowers such as peonies symbolize wealth and success, while lotuses represent spiritual purity and inner peace. Koi fish are emblems of good luck and fortune, swallows signify hope and love, and fruits like grapes and pomegranates symbolize fertility.

I hope my paintings bring you good luck and help your wishes come true!

P.S. These are the brushes I used to create my paintings. I hope you enjoyed exploring my gallery!
